Review "reputation"

at first listen:

this album could've been a pop gold masterpiece that could have outshined 1989 both lyrical and musically but no, she decided to go urban-trappy and destroy most of the songs on the album with those repetitive, basic, tacky, cheap and easy beats that keep annoying me time and again

there are still some jewels, best song might be "...READY FOR IT?", but some goods stand-outs are:

Delicate, Getaway Car, King of my heart, Call it what you want

TOTAL SCORE: 6.5/10

Speak Now = RED >> 1989 >> reputation >> Fearless >> Taylor Swift

come at me, or agree with me :lolly:

share your thoughts!

EDIT: The album is un-growing on me :smh:

I have to agree with @djparky who said this:

Speak Now, Red and 1989 are excellent albums but..

This is f****** awful from start to finish- terrible lyrics, auto tune hell, track after track of near identical hip hoppy electronica. By the time I got to Dress i ended up shouting "no no no" repeatedly to the cd player in the car as I went for the skip button

There is one stand out moment- i don't remember the name, it's got the choir on it

Other tolerable moments are Gorgeous, Getaway Car and Can you deal with it

By far the worst album she's done, it's as unpleasant to listen to as the Katy Perry album and anything Madonna has released in the last decade.

Don't Blame Me is AMAZING, King of My Heart is GARBAGE.

The rest is okay, some tracks sound dated (lowkey Witness-sounding).

Speak Now > 1989 > Red = reputation > Fearless > TS

Redstreak

It only took 3 songs to know it far exceeded 1989. Poor gays and their vanilla taste

Take a moment to think of just flexibility, love, and trust~

5/10

it started strong, interesting, bops but the second half is... childish, i guess and the trap beat in pop music still exists when it needs to NOT

idk, they're sounds i've been hearing and sick of now with lyrics like shes 16

i can't compare it to her other albums cus this is the first taylor album i've heard in full

This is my favorite album of hers, but so far, 7/10, it feels like the tracks are very similar and kinda repetitive, but i am sure as the time goes i will change my mind :selena:

You can not hide if nobody pays attention to you :*

bloody g

It is very unsetteling how the lyrics are so childish in a mature sound... I don't think it's bad though

i'm so upset because that verses of that song really hype you up to an explosive chorus but it SLOWS DOWN :saladga:

I would say a 4 or a 5 out of 10. It was better than I thought it would be, but there really weren't any stand out songs that personally blew me away. I like Getaway Car the most.

I hate them too but she had to go this way in this era where trash like Gucci Gang is Top 10 in Hot 100
