At Like A Slayer not having any fillers, which is a fact.

Oh my bad, I thought it was another song with the same name.

Swine is one of the worst songs from Gaga imo.

Fashion of His Love and JAD still exist tho :bon:

I only pretend to 'like' Telephone because it was a smash, but deep down inside I want it to vanish from the universe. :selena:

But a 'filler' track isn't just a song you don't like. I can understand why people dislike Swine. It's quite an abrasive song with noisy, unusual production and tbh its fairly tuneless by pop melody standards. But in terms of both its musical, and especially its lyrical content, it is one of the few genuinely essential songs on ARTPOP imo. There was a review of ARPTOP which said something like 'Swine is ARTPOP's wow-factor centrepiece if not its greatest hit' and I think that hits the nail on the head. Personally, I don't enjoy the song Born This Way, because I find it highly overproduced and lyrically trite. But I can't deny that is probably the most important song in Gaga's discography.

I'd point to something like 'Bad Kids' as a genuine example of a Gaga filler track. Even though I enjoy the song, the rawk guitars meets eurodisco pop camp thing is done better several times over on the album, as is its message of self-empowerment. If it were cut from the album, it wouldn't really change anything. On the other hand, songs like 'Hair', 'Highway Unicorn (Road to Love)' and 'Government Hooker' are more controversial tracks but I'd argue if you were to cut any one of them, the album would be a different piece of work.

How so? Illuminate me

I'd say Fashion!, even tho not a fan favorite, has an essential massage that ARTPOP really needed to have imo.

I take it off, I put it on
I feel alive when I transform
But this love's not material
Now take it in, and turn me on
Zip me up, it can't be wrong
'Cause your new look's ethereal

The concept of ''filler'' is subjective and also annoying. :trollga: Every records with 10+ track will have different songs with different degrees of enjoyability and naturally there will be songs which outshine others.
