Bebe wrote The Monster for herself she had no intention of giving it to anyone. She wanted it to be her breakout hit. She was forced/ borderline threatened to give the song away which she did. Then they asked for her background vocals and she begged them to not take it but they forced her again. If you listen to Bebe's version the vocal breakdown in the chorus is exactly the same. Rihanna couldn't hit those notes so they forced Bebe to give her vocals. She was basically strong-armed. She didn't get credit and everyone thought (still think) Rih sang it. She just stated FACTS. I've got so much respect for her Wow this is ****ing unfair. Just proves that those who are on top are not the ones who deserve it but those who unapologetically take smaller artists hard work/chances of success.
