I know 30 years is way too long and kinda weird but i think he must be feeling embarassed. It's sth terrible and really personal so maybe he wasn't sure if he wanted to share it with the world. :oprah:

Yes there’s something we don’t  know. We don’t know if Kevin  even knew if he was a minor or not. He just apologized for something he claims doesn’t have 100% conscious of it. Plus the fact that he was 14 doesn’t always put the blame on the older person, I’ve seen minors flirt and try to get with older guys all the time and whoever doesn’t believe that well then get a Grindr account and see for yourself

Yes, that Kevin Spacey is a piece of ****. He's been doing this for YEARS. More people are going to talk so I'm glad Anthony did this. Keep your eyes open because it's going to be A RIDE.

Stop victimg-shaming and acting like this. It's not a good look.

PS. Hi, first comment.

You don't know what he's specifically been through. You're literally blaming him for taking "too long" to say anything. Again, it's not like he wanted to suppress these things. He was young and I'm sure as he got older, the need to suppress these emotions and feelings only grew. I mean, this is, unfortunately, only the tip of the iceberg. Many kids, women, and men are sexually assaulted and harassed in Hollywood, but they feel like they need to hold it in because of the possible damaging repercussions.

I'm not blaming him for nothing actually, I'm just saying it's too much time, this is a really serious matter. Regardless how Anthony felt, I think some legal actions about Spacey should have been done, otherwise he's just get with his all this time and if it's true he's been an asshole through all these years, if Anthony spoke, that would never happenned but well, I'm glad he decided to talk, it was the right choice.

... and now i just sit in silence.

He did it because Hollywood is collapsing after that massive Harvey Weinsten scandal. It makes perfect sense.

Same here, I’ve been a victim and it was one of the hardest things, I couldn’t sleep or eat and my hair started to fall.  It took me 3 weeks to tell someone. What I mean is either he kinda flirted with Kevin or he really didn’t cared about it and now he decided to make a buzz out of something that you didn’t even cared to fix. It it was such a big deal why wait 30 freaking years. Just a messy guy. But then again we don’t know the full exact story

I think this post serves us as a painful reminder of reality: Sexual assault survivors can't even count on the empathy of other sexual assault survivors.

Some people just are not able to speed run through their trauma in 3 weeks, especially when your abuser lives on, prospers and becomes one of the most influential people in the business you're working in. It's happening now, because survivors in the entertainment industry see that there's a chance that somebody will listen and take their experiences seriously, because of the Weinstein case.

It's better for him to talk now than to talk never in my opinion. While it's been decades, it's important for people to know that it's okay to speak out about disgusting things like this. I'm sure he did this more as a sign to let other people know that it's okay to come out rather than to provoke any legal repercussions about it.

I don’t know why but perhaps you hit the nail. If there really is more allegations then how can you say that you’re doing it now to help others? He should’ve done it before, how is it that he doesn’t feel or won’t feel bad about not speaking earlier and let Kevin abuse more minors. Idk he is perhaps not being really honest

Well the reason why I decided to say it is because he was my  middle school teacher and can you imagine how many other kids would’ve been next if I would’ve stay quiet?

Imagine what is happening in the world, in general. Doctors, neighbors, husbands, bosses, teachers, etc etc abuse their female/male companions EVERY DAY, but people choose not to believe. And you get shamed.

It's disgusting and it's heartbreaking. This world is so ****ed up.

Again, Hollywood is unfortunately riddled with pedophiles, child molesters, and just overall predators (both of children as well as men and women). We don't what's going on behind the scenes, and I'm 100% sure that Anthony wanted to tell more people about it, but when you have powerful men in powerful positions, that's difficult. I mean, look at Weinstein. Look at all the women now coming forward giving their stories about him. Are you then going to argue, "Why didn't those women come forward sooner?"

I am not trying to defend Kevin at all but the media is making him out to be a rapist.

What he did was wrong.  What was also is coming out as gay while apologizing for it.

I don't think Kevin Spacey is a rapist or a sexual predator.  He did something very inappropriate.  Being drunk does cause us to do thing we regret but that is still no excuse for what he did.  Not saying Kevin is the good guy but I do not think he should be put in the same league as Weinstein, Cosby, and Polanski.  He didn't actually sexually assault him.  It could have went further but it didn't.

What baffles me is why Anthony waits this long to talk about it.  He could have talked about it after it happened.  Kevin wasn't an A lister back then.  Not victim blaming but he just now waited while he has something to promote.

One more thing how did a 14 year old allow some man to carry him and how were you at a party of only adults with no parents?

I am questioning myself the same. I don't want to play the victim game but going to a hollywood party at 14? what did certain someone expected to happen?

And Bill Cosby, for example.

Those women talked about him after years and years of being silenced. And all it took was one person.

Hollywood is full of predators and disgusting men in position of power. This isn't new.
