I know right? No hate for both artists and I'm very aware that Whitney is iconic and all, but I'm so over all the tributes tbh.

Is her voice still capable of doing a tribute of this caliber? I was always under the impression her voice had gone whack. Also, I can already hear the (justifiable) calls in the distance of people mad they aren't getting a black woman to do this.

How is that justifiable? Whitney has one of the biggest fan bases in history, predominately made of white people. What is your problem with a white woman, who is extremely talented and deserving to do tribute? Did you have a problem with Gaga doing a Stevie Wonder Tribute? Are you that obsessed with race, that you had to bring race into this forum?

Talent praises talent. Talent has no color. Quit trying to put a color on everything. There is no justifiable argument about your point.

Woah, that was a lot of leaps. I'm just saying that it's justifiable because she's a black woman and there's plenty of black females that could also do this justice who may not have a chance next to their white counterparts. So if they were upset, I could see why. I literally never said anything else. I never said I had a problem with XTina performing, never said I was bothered by Gaga, nothing (though, that situation is different as a number of artists performed that night). Hearing from others that XTina can still vocally do this, I'm happy to hear it. Whitney deserves a good tribute and if this is it then I'm happy for it. On a personal level, I don't really care. I was just saying if someone were to be upset that a woman of color who beat all odds to be at the top was not honored by someone of color thus giving them a chance to shine then I can see why they'd be upset. I mean, when there's a special network devoted to black entertainment, then yes, race is relevant.

Please don't lash out and be so unnecessarily rude towards me when I was nothing but civil in my response.
