"5 years from now people wont be calling her a ripoff of madonna"

"I can see her being 40 and still putting out records and touring (Maybe not as excessively though)."

Well predicted :awkney:

She'll be around. Gaga has such a strong fanbase, that even when things cool down, she's still going to be very successful.

if that isn't THE tea. This is really cute and nostalgic, 2010 feels like such a distant era now. Time has flown. :diane:

Definitely. People like Ke$ha *hides from Ke$ha stans* don't deserve to stick around. They're good for a year or 2 but after that they've exhausted all their "talent" and there's not much else they can do.

*I have to laugh gif*

To be fair 2010 Kesha with only one album out at the time didn't exactly scream longevity. It's great that she's where she is in 2017. But most people didn't think she would last.

This is interesting. In 5 years from now, BTW will be iconic, but by then we'll already be on her 5th/6th studio album, and on her 20th #1. hehehehehe.

By 2015 we were still on ARTPOP. :selena:

Also wow @ @StrawberryBlond making an appearance

This person was spot on:

Touring is another thing - she makes SO MUCH MONEY from it, and will probably continue to do so. The charts are increasingly becoming less relevant because music is not where acts make their cash, it's the tours.

I'd imagine what will probably happen is that she continues doing well for one or two albums, but sales continue to decrease until they level off once a dedicated 4ish million strong fanbase is cemented (a la Britney, Madonna etc.), with occasional peaks along the way as casual fans jump in when she has an extra-big hit.

Plus, although most would bail, she's built a strong hardcore fanbase already that would probably stick with her.

God, the old format. I'm feeling so wistful.

GOD, I just found my post omfg:

I'll never be sure, but I have a feeling she might go back to rock. Even if just a bit.

Was I, like, a year off.

3 points in and ready for more

It's interesting to see how there's no sign of "stan" vocab yet lol. No "yas" "slay mama" "queen of .."

Those were the days :air:
