I never really felt the backlash where I am tbh plus we wouldnt have got THAT video i know, it's my favorite video but still and about the backlash, i think it was a very America centred backlash and a few very religous countries. But the US radio refused to play the song because of the lyrics and many felt offended by the lyrics and the video. After the decent debut at 10, the song started to fall on the billboard hot 100 and only rise from 20 to 19 again thanks to the video but then started to go down again the week after and left the top 100 after only 8 weeks spent on the chart, and is her worst peforming single to date in US except G.U.Y. and PI But i know in many EU countries, the song didn't really get any backlash and peaked higher then TEOG in many places and had about the same longetivity as teog on the charts.
