Britney was really awkward and not focused during the Femme Fatale era, she looked like a robot and she looked dead in her eyes, you can see it on almost every interview. I think they pushed Femme Fatale on her in early 2011 and she wasn't ready for it you can read some conversation about it here. The difference between her in the Circus era/"3" era and Femme Fatale was quite noticeable https://fotpforums.com/topic/122493-did-britney-have-another-breakdown-in-2010/ Mental health issues do not go away and if she has bipolar disorder, which its been reported that she does, she will struggle like this for the rest of her life.
