Never said they physically think about classism and black people every time they tan...  It’s something that’s ingrained into culture. All of these beauty standards stem from SOMEWHERE; I’m just saying it’s from classism and black culture, also cognitive biases (but even that plays into it).

I think it’s naive to believe that these problems are just “personal preference” instead of considering how systemic they are.

In that case they’re not going out of their way to change their skin colour due to colorism, I already said colorism differentiates way too much between countries and obviously not all beauty ideals are the same from country to country. This touches on tanned skin vs. dark skin which is a whole other thing in itself.

You’re European so you’d be more knowledgable in their culture but all I’m saying is that there is a prevalance of anti-BLACKness (peep the article on the first page about colorism vs. racism) in every developed nation and beauty ideals reflect that.
