The superbowl, coachella, the doc, and a hugely successful tour. I think the followup needs to be Q3 2018 at the latest to still take advantage of all of the work she has put in this year. ASIB soundtrack had to have been completed for them to go into editing the songs into the film. I mean she worked on Joanne exclusively from March 2016-Oct. BTW came out shortly after TFM, TFM was ready asap. C2C was recorded and finished pretty quick too. The only "gap" was ARTPOP because of the hip situation. She did TFM very rapidly. Joanne only took 6 months to be made in the studio with Mark and the guys... Gaga is always working very fast generally... If she doesn't scrap this material, I feel like we can expect new music from her within the six month period. Not saying she isn't recording new pop songs, but if she wrote original songs for the soundtrack and has a particular look and feel for it then it becomes the new era. Why release anything else within that period? Unless it may be another one-off like The Cure? ASIB soundtrack might be full of hits potential. Then I guess she'll take her well deserved break until late April, then there's the promo for ASIB during May and June.. so it's very unlikely she will have time to write and record a whole album and release it in 2018.
