I'd be prepared to bet everything on the idea that she scrapped the whole thing a long time ago and has started over from scratch. There was even a Spanish language album rumoured as well and she's not talked about that at all. I get she has 2 children but that doesn't stop regular mothers going out to work everyday. It's hardly like a new album's going to result in a massive world tour that'll drag her away from her family. She doesn't even do excessive promo. So, what's with the wait? Is she waiting until her daughter starts school? She's also been engaged since February 2014. It seems like her entire life has been on hold ever since. Gaga got engaged and broke up in that time! It's insane how much Gaga's done since Xtina last released an album - a downfall and a reprise! You'd think Xtina would have more than enough stuff to inspire her by now. Even the massive success of Beyonce's unusual releases and visual albums haven't seemed to inspire her like I thought it would. If she doesn't want to make music anymore, she should just be upfront about it, not make promises she can't keep.

Eh, I don’t mind if she really can keep her words that the album will be good. Her past two albums are all over the place and underwhelming. So she need to make something more than decent this time.

I have waited longer for my other faves like say, Slipknot (6 years), or Justin Timberlake (7 years) and they really delivered with great albums (.5: The Gray Chapter and 20/20 Experience, respectively)

And I still am waiting for the new Rammstein album, (8 years and counting), System of A Down (12 years and counting) and Tool (11 years and counting)

Sophie Ellis Bextor always have an album then a kid, another album another kid, that doesnt really matter tbh, she just had a baby and 1 yr later released the 'Familia' album

Didn't she raise a child, so I wouldn't blame her for not releasing. Gwen took a decade off and somehow managed to get that #1 album.

She gave birth to her second child in August 2014. 

I guess she wants to give her kids the family she never had, so she put her career on the back seat.

I remember i had high hopes after the masterpiece of Stripped, BTB was also lowkey good, then she just became so lazy, at least the faves i stan do their **** on music/acting and always deliver, idk how i would feel if back then i would choose her instead of mandy mess

Wow I completely forgot she said it'd be out by the end of 2016 and 2017 is almost over, that is so sad. I guess if she's not feeling happy about it then she should keep working on it, I'm a big fan of her and I hope one day she comes up with a big album like Stripped or Back To Basics. I was SO disappointed with Bionic and Lotus that I feel like she's just done with this.
