Welp, at least today I won't get an anxiety attack concerning the coming results - We all know what's coming and I refuse to get upset abou this.

The problem with the ÖVP/FPÖ is that they claim to be for the small people even though it has been indicated more than once that they are acting for the rich people and major corporations/big companies. Many people in this country are creatures of habit and complain about the politics and its stagnation but will vote again for the big parties which won't change anything or could make things worse in my opinion. It also doesn't help when the media and this parties play with the fears of the people saying that the problem are the refugees distracting from the real problems with the imbalance between rich and poor.

Exactly. Refugees/integration/immigration are not worth all of the fuss and discussion we give them. Politicians don't have such a big impact on them, it's mostly about internatoinal treaties and inter-/supranational politics.. it would be much better to focus on talking about the economy, education, healthcare and such but it seems like all people want to hear about and all the media wants to show are these far-right themes. If we talked more about the things where politicians can really make an impact, the left would be far better off and our populations would be less polarized..

I just voted for the green party.

I expect the FPÖ and the ÖVP to build a coalition tho, unfortunately. I don't want a black/blue government :fthis:

Please no! I don't want to live in a country that's governed by Strache!

Maybe the surprise is that the green party won't be in the parliament or something.... I just refuse to believe that
