Jinzo 9,639
Hollywood is full of old and nasty rapists, Harvey weinstein is a confirmation, and I don't believe it's an isolated case... It's obviously not.. Can you imagine being a young actor wanting to make it in the industry but to be able to accomplish your dream you have to blow an old pert.. Yikes The academy members KNEW gaga and Diane Warren deserved to win yet they chose to give all rape victims a slap in their face ugh I'm so mad like it happened yesterday and I'm sure this happens to male actors as well, the entertainment industry is ****ing disgusting Rant/
sipthistea 21,099
I agree. But I don't understand why out of every song nominated did the Sam Smith song earn the Oscar? There were 2 songs that were better than the Bond song.
FunBuns 596
Will I also be generalized because I am just who I am in a world of different people? There are those so-called sinners everywhere... Us, humans, always must blame someone... She didn't win. She did deserve it. We don't know what's the thing with those people but it definitely has nothing to do with such claims. www.soundcloud.com/aphrodisio

FATCAT 60,084
She didn't win because she didn't smooze up to the voters. It's not some conspiracy. This kitten over here (meow)

FunBuns 596
This song deserved to win. It's very touching and really meaningful. The others weren't bad at all. We can agree that Sam had a very successful one there. I still think Gaga had to win it because... obvious reasons. www.soundcloud.com/aphrodisio
shane_c 480
Her name wasn't on the ballot, just the name of the song and the movie was. If her name would have been shown she would have won.

Ziggy 11,865
She didn't because they read a Bond song and chose that. I doubt they even listened to the songs. That's a big problem in the Academy.
androiduser 7,438
Well, to be honest, The Hunting Ground was distributed by The Weinstein Company, so if anything, it would now seem really ironic if it had won.... Gaga would forever be associated with Harvey Weinstein, and this way no-one cares to make the connection.

Although I feel like her not getting the Oscar had more to do with the drama stirred up by Linda Perry over the songwriting credit.
