personally, i really like the album but then again i've been a fan for 20+ years... it's does not have bangers like the Come On Over album but it has an honest vibe to it

1997: #195 top selling album of the year

1998: #5 top selling album of the year

1999: #3 top selling album of the year

2000: #20 top selling album of the year

 

It was such a big album that it charted in the Top 200 for 4 years at the year end charts.

And not to over-generalize things, but she was the first MEGA country-pop crossover act. She was the result of numerous 90’s country hit-makers and she struck gold.

She paved the way for T Swift to do it, though Shania didn’t need to completely shift genres.

I was brought up on her and Reba Mcentire’s music long before pop music was even on my radar.

The album has grown on me. So give it time and go back to it if you haven't already. I saw someone mentioning worthy songs. My favorite is "We've Got Something They Don't". Love that song!!  

She could not be any sweeter or more lovely if she tried!  This video made me smile. Knowing her story makes me even more excited for her to have this time to celebrate her number one album. She seems like a total sweetie so it's cute!
