So, as the title says, what would change in Madonna's single choices through her career?

Mine:

Self-Titled:

Spoiler

Same, except release a less messy video for Holiday

Like A Virgin:

Spoiler

1st single: Like A Virgin (November 1894)

2nd single: Material Girl (January 1985)

Japanese promo single: Love Don't Live Here Anymore

3rd single: Angel (March 1985, US only, release a cute little video for it)

4th single: Into The Groove (March 1985, except in USA, kind of working as a dual single with Angel)

5th single: Dress You Up (June 1985)

6th single: Over and Over (August 1985, a ROL-kind of video, in a less special effects and more fast scenes sense)

True Blue:

Spoiler

1st single: Live To Tell (March 1986)

2nd single: Papa Don't Preach (June 1986)

3rd single: True Blue (September 1986, with a less childish video please)

4th single: Open Your Heart (November 1986)

5th single: La Isla Bonita (January 1986)

6th single: Where's The Party (March 1986)

Who's That Girl:

Spoiler

1st single: Who's That Girl (July 1986)

2nd single: Causing A Commotion (September 1986, with a video and less competition maybe it could manage a #1)

Like A Prayer:

Spoiler

Wouldn't touch anything, the era was perfect as it was

I'm Breathless:

Spoiler

1st single: Vogue (March 1990)

2nd single: Hanky Panky (June 1990)

3rd single: Now I'm Following You (September 1990)

4th single: Sooner Or Later (November 1990)

The Immaculate Collection:

Spoiler

1st single: Justify My Love (April 1991)

2nd single: Holiday (August 1991)

Also, move up the release to April 1991 bc of Sooner Or Later release in November 1990

Erotica:

Spoiler

1st single: Deeper & Deeper  (October 1992)

2nd single: Fever (December 1992)

3rd single: Waiting (February 1993)

4th single: Rain (March 1993)

5th single: Erotica (July 1993, move the SEX book release to here too so those 4 masterpieces could atleast have more chances :flutter:)

6th single: Bye Bye Baby (November 1993, the video is the Girlie Show performance to promote the tour)

Bedtime Stories:

Spoiler

Same, the era went out just fine, only thing I would change is more promo to both Bedtime Story and Human Nature

Something To Remember:

Spoiler

Same, except release One More Chance in USA too

Evita:

Spoiler

Same

Ray Of Light:

Spoiler

1st single: Frozen (February 1998)

2nd single: Ray Of Light (May 1998)

Dual singles: Drowned World/Substitute For Love (rest of the world) and Skin (US) (August 1999)

4th single: The Power Of Good-Bye (September 1998)

5th single: Nothing Really Matters (April 1999, without releasing the MV MONTHS IN ADVANCE SO IT CAN HAVE AN ATLEAST DECENT CHART POSITION :grr:)

Also, more promo for the singles following ROL

Music:

Spoiler

Basically the same

American Life:

Spoiler

1st single: Die Another Day (October 2002) (I know it's supposed to be for the James Bond movie, but I feel the album would've had more sucess had this been the lead single)

2nd single: Nothing Fails (March 2003, the MV would be the rumored concept of a religious video in Israel)

3rd single: Love Profusion (July 2003)

4th single: Hollywood (November 2003)

5th single: American Life (March 2004, I feel that with American Idiot this same year, this would've been more accepted. Maybe even be capable of releasing the original MV, although if not, keep it and then leak it years later)

Also, more promo to Nothing Fails, Love Profusion, Hollywood and American Life

Confessions On A Dance Floor:

Spoiler

1st single: Hung Up (October 2005, maybe a peak at #1 in the US without the whole American Life prejudicing her reputation in the US thing)

2nd single: Sorry (February 2006, a better peak in the US without the radio boycott)

3rd single: Future Lovers (June 2006)

4th single: Jump (October 2006)

Some promo to Future Lovers and Jump

(Hard Candy I can't really talk bc I only heard three songs of the album as of now)

Celebration:

Spoiler

The same, it's fine tbh

MDNA:

Spoiler

Wouldn't exist :poot:

Jk, I mean if I was Madonna/her management I would have never made MDNA happen, but bc that's not the point of the thread so :poot:

1st single: Girl Gone Wild (February 2012)

Promo single: Beautiful Killer (March 2012)

2nd single: Gang Bang (April 2012)

3rd single: I'm A Sinner (August 2012)

(And if your taste is good, you may have realized I choose the only good songs on the album besides Masterpiece and Love Spent :poot:)

(Also, no guests at the Halftime Show and more Vogue/Like A Prayer moments)

(And no unecessary Express Yourself/Born This Way/She's Not Me medley and calling out people during Masterpiece on tour)

Rebel Heart:

Spoiler

(I would've forced Interscope into letting Rebel Heart be two volumes like she planned, but that's not the point of this thread once again so :poot:)

1st single: Living For Love (December 2014)

2nd single: Ghosttown (March 2015)

3rd single: Iconic (August 2015)

4th single: Devil Pray (October 2015)

5th single: Unapologetic Bitch (January 2016)

6th single: Rebel Heart (April 2016)

So, what are yours? (You bitches better not let this flop cause I spent 1 hour making this)

                                                                                                                   TAGGING:

Spoiler

                                                                                                               @That J

U don't have to read it all :selena:

You also don't have to post for ALL eras.

I would advise you to post in the most recent one, as this one was reported by myself bc of triple posting.

Hades

Madge has made great choices most of the time. I'd make some changes here and there. For example Forbidden Love on Confessions or Devil Wouldn't Recognize you on Hard Candy.

MDNA was a mess. Love Spent/Beautiful Killer would be much better than the singles released.

Wait, Love Spent was on MDNA? I though it was on Hard Candy :poot:

Probably gonna replace Gang Bang with it on my list

I'm kind of biased on them

But I agree that Devil Pray and Unapologetic Bitch would've been better

Although Addicted is a filler

If you like S.E.X. you can't tell Addicted is filler sis :grr:

S.E.X., Veni Vidi Vici and Body Shop are the cancer of that album. Holy Water is also a mess :emma:

S.E.X is a NO. Holy water was great on the tour but as a studio track meh.:emma:

Yup I realized they weren't good single choices so I changed them.

Although all versions of Holy Water are good, how dare u sis?!
