I believe a lot of people's dislike stems from having their own preconceived notions as to what the sound of LG5 was going to be i.e disco. No one ever expected a rock/psychedelic influence. Not to mention the visuals accompanying the song were very stripped as well as her fashion. People like to pretend it's all about the music but most everyone takes the songs performance, visual, and fashion into the mix. For those perched for the major pop comeback people got let down.
