Did you even read lmao

Yes I did? But what makes a hook Catchy? That is the question. The ingredients are significant for the catchiness.

Which beat, which chords, the vocals and how they sound etc.

It’s pretty obvious that a song has to be catchy but a hook consists of a lot of aspects.

So I don‘t really see a recipe here it’s really conceptual and shows not not really how you create a hit song. The truth is there is no recipe like Gaga said before. You never now if it works.

It is often said that there is no recipe for hit songs. And while I agree that hit songs are sometimes unpredictable, I think I can make my own recipe for hits. Here it is:

-Catchy: First of all, I think most hit songs have a certain degree of catchyness. Some songs are more catchy than others but they all have that hook that will stick in people's minds

-Relatable: Hit songs are also usually relatable. In other words, the lyrics or theme of a song needs to appeal and relate to many people.

-Trendy: Songs are most likely to big hits if they follow a sound or style that is popular at the time of their release.

-Promo: I think this one is obvious. The more the song is promoted to more likely the song will be successful

-Artist Popularity: I think that it makes sense that if an artist is very popular and that if that artist releases a song, then the song is more likely to be a hit by default.

-Viralness: Basically this is the X-factor for hit songs. If something related to a song goes viral (music video, something the artist did or say, something some else did or say about the song, the lyrics of the song, etc.) then the song might receive a huge boost in the charts.

So these are the six ingredients in my recipe to make a hit song. Now, I am not saying that you need all of these ingredients for a song to be a hit. Or that these will guarantee a hit song. What I am saying is that a song that is a hit will definitely have at least one of the above ingredients. However, the more ingredients the song has, the more the chances that the song will be a hit.

Relatable? So Poker Face became a hit because it was relatable? Trendy? That's false, a hit song usually sets a new trend, it doesn't follow an already established one.

2 ingredients out of the 6 are false.

Did you read my OP? I clearly said that a hit song does not need all of the ingredients in my recipe. But all hit songs have at least one. The more ingredients a song has the more likely it will be a hit. Pokerface may not be all that relatable or was trendy, but it is very catchy, had a viral music video, had good promo, and had a new popular artist in Gaga. Finally most popular songs are actually trendy. And only the first song of that trendy sound wasn't. By your logic all hit songs  provide something new or innovative and that is just not true. Also most hit songs are relatable to a big group of people.
