This is...unexpected.

Taylor's lead hit, "Look What You Made Me Do", from her upcoming album has actually begun to fall on all formats of radio. This is been happening for 3 days now.

After reaching #4 on pop radio, the song is now declining in both spins and audience.

The first 5 singles from 1989 went #1 on pop radio.

And her last song with Zayn peaked at #2.

After reaching #7 on adult pop radio, the song is also declining in spins and audience.

It also dropped 3 spots on Canadian pop radio today.

I'm not worried, knowing Taylor, Reputation is going to be filled with single worthy song after single worthy song. She's honestly brilliant not gonna lie.

Its a shame LWYMMD is declining though, I feel like I was one of the only people that really liked it :emma:.

"Million Reasons" peaked higher on Adult Pop radio than "Look What You Made Me Do"

Is bad music finally going to start declining on radio?

but seriously, she probably wants to push a second single since LWYMMD is literal trash.

It's more of the same from her: basic lyrics blaming someone for her behavior, basic instrumental, etc. The chorus is also very weak. There's literally nothing fresh or interesting about it. I'm sure the album will follow the same path.

I honestly don’t know anyone who liked the song, besides gay boys on the internet, so I’m not surprised.

Yeah, her second singles always smash more

I Knew You Were Trouble

It's actually smart I think to release a weaker song first since it will have a harder chance to smash if it isn't a lead.

I feel like this is going to be her Born This Way or Prism sort of era - carrying on from the success and hype of her previous albums she will get a couple of hits to her name, but during the next album cycle there will be a commercial drop.

It's bound to happen at some point - nobody's career constantly soars era after era.
