The song has no memorable message, it's was just another nostalgic ballad that was a hit. It was a commercial success, but I don't think it's iconic. 6 minutes ago, CrazyMonster said: Lmao don't get me wrong I LOVE Lana, I worship her but you're wrong. Yeah her "influence", I'd rather it call it "impact" or whatever lmao was definitely short, it lasted like 4 or 6 months in 2013. Lana fits the term ''iconic'' because people instantly associate her with her persona so she has a trademark. I know she isn't a widely known pop act, she is pretty popular on the internet and especially for younger people.
ryanripley 86,575
i have to say lorde purely because of her talent and critical acclaim BUT she's not mainstream like gaga was idk, no one has really BURST into the scene and been in the papers everyday like gaga did https://goo.gl/xMgMvJ

HANZ 4,380
honestly none of them Miley was close with her VMA's performance cause it is Iconic indeed but it was also trash and tacky, no talent or special skills were required for that performance she is not admired or respected in the music industry like other legends and icons My Favs = Lady Gaga, Janet Jackson, Ricky Martin, AKB48

Damon 10,905
Most of the artists on the list stared their carriers before or at the same time as Gaga tho, they just got bigger I'll say Lorde, but she's not an icon. She's a hell of a new young artist ... and now i just sit in silence.

MercifulAir 879
I STAN Ariana HARD! Dangerous Woman came for me like a legend. The album in its entirety is a story through and through. It's very rare that I find an entire album being a bop. (Writing this as I'm listening to Greedy in my car waiting for my class to start) Seriously tho I can't wait for her next album. Come through with those harmonies!

She definitely impacted culture in a way yes, but definitely not as much as say Gaga or Bey. I feel like she'll be remembered for having timeless music and being different from the whole 2010s culture scene (especially in the case of 21 when lots of what was going on at the time was who can outshock the other).
