The resolution doesn’t call for the end to capital punishment altogether, but asks member nations not to use it in a “discriminatory manner”—including against against minors and pregnant women, or for blasphemy and consensual same-sex relations. Though I never understand how people can be in favor of death penalty anyway. It's a backwards and uncivilized concept. But oh well, 'murica

JustaMonster 4,909
No one in the US is advocating for the death penalty specifically for gay people Hands up to the sky, I'm about to fly!

That's such a paradox I don't know if it is, it depends on what state you live in but the point is that I'm pretty sure this isnt targeted specifically against lgbt people. The reason the US voted no was because it was a restriction on the death penalty in general. Hands up to the sky, I'm about to fly!

I don't agree with the death penalty and I probably would prefer if America voted for this... BUT it's not a reason to slander the US and say they support the death penalty of gays. That's just ridiculous.
Dominic 11,922
Pretty suprised. There are no valid reasons for the death penalty in any sense. It's archaic and a complete waste of time and money... The hardest thing in this world is to live in it
