and what?

It deals with the death penalty in general. US didn't vote for it because they want the right to kill homosexuals.

Did you read the OP?

The resolution doesn’t call for the end to capital punishment altogether, but asks member nations not to use it in a “discriminatory manner”—including against against minors and pregnant women, or for blasphemy and consensual same-sex relations.

Though I never understand how people can be in favor of death penalty anyway. It's a backwards and uncivilized concept. But oh well, 'murica

Maybe it has something to do with the "against minors and pregnant women" part not specifically homosexuals

No one in the US is advocating for the death penalty specifically for gay people

Is it legal in America to kill minors and pregnant woman? :rip:  US conservative are against abortion but in favor death penalty. That's such a paradox :rip:

I don't know if it is, it depends on what state you live in but the point is that I'm pretty sure this isnt targeted specifically against lgbt people. The reason the US voted no was because it was a restriction on the death penalty in general.

No it is not. I'd need read the measure more. I don't agree with the death penalty and I probably would prefer if America voted for this... BUT it's not a reason to slander the US and say they support the death penalty of gays. That's just ridiculous.

Pretty suprised. There are no valid reasons for the death penalty in any sense. It's archaic and a complete waste of time and money...

The hardest thing in this world is to live in it

US needs to get slandered for voting against the resolution even if the homosexual part wasn't included

Then maybe that's what should be in the title not just the homosexuality part :selena:

I mean... if you told me this in 2016 (pre-election period) I would have been shocked.

Now - not so much..

Net immigration from Mexico has been negative for years. More people move from the US to Mexico than the other way around.

Per capita? The US has way over double the population of Mexico.
