Im sorry but can we not trivialise this to tweets and celebrity culture? People/families died.

Yet there have been threads in the past bashing and dragging Gaga for not tweeting about these types of events.

Doesn't mean we should continue condoning such online culture of superficiality. If anything, we should try to stop our generation from being completely numb to the true magnitude of real events.

I made this because I think its great seeing people come together.

Idk about you, but it was nice seeing all of these tweets from people i've "known" voicing support. Thoughtfulness is contagious. And i'm sure these tweets could potentially mean something to those who lost loved ones too. If my family member passed in a terrible event like this, it would make me feel at least a little more comforted to hear that Shania or Gwen or Rihanna etc, were reaching out.

I completely agree but it’s just baffling that no matter what any celebrity does, they get dragged to filth by someone. Let’s focus less on criticizing everything they do and just be happy that people with power culturally are saying something and speaking out.

Half of these seem so forced and not genuine at all, like if their management told them, “hey, hurry and tweet something about the Vegas terror attack, we need to stay relevant”

Nevertheless, I’m glad that they’re talking about it. I hate when people profess their hatred of celebrities being political. Like, they have the voice and power to influence the public, why not use their platform for good?

Notice how Gaga is the only one taking a clear stand? :applause:

Jojo too...

But yes. It's important to raise voices for strong gun control policies. Prayers are great, but they won't stop the shootings.
