And the fact that she referenced Joanne in the clip too makes the quote even more relevant to Gaga today. Yeah she's changed but at her core she'll always be the quirky woman who took us in and loved us as if we were her own. If you have a vanilla cake and put chocolate frosting on it, it doesn't become a chocolate cake. It's still a vanilla cake at its core if that makes sense. We will always be her little monsters no matter how old we get ♥️ There are casual fans who think they're Monsters after just attending 1 concert and casually listening to her music. I personally take offense to that because it's like if you're gonna call yourself a monster, you have to know the history of little monsters and the significance of the monster paw. It's not just some "quirky" thing we do. The monster paw is the symbol of "no matter how bad it gets, it'll be ok because I have my monster family right beside me". The opening page was that quote that I had a friend draw out in script with designs around it. So seeing this makes me feel happy!
