Demi is beating Miley on iTunes in America. Why?

Demi Lovato's new album is charting higher then Miley's new album. This is despite the fact that Miley's album received more promotion . How is this happening when not long ago, Miley was crushing main pop girls?

I like the Miley album...it's just such a drastic change compared to her last two.  I'm not sure how much longevity it could have but it's aight.
