It's been 60 years since cars first became widespread, and many years of campaigning finally lead to this. I feel proud for defending this for years, and to the many women who've defied people here and drove, you guys finally did it. There was never really a law, but they still banned it. What a time to be alive. The community is split, but just like every change that has happened here, they'll get over it. tthen 4,621 Posted September 27, 2017 Share Posted September 27, 2017 Also I'd just like to send my gratitude to the women who started this movement in September 25 years ago. 25 years ago, many women went out to drive one September day. Saudi was much more radical back then and they got screwed, but they started this chain that finally lead to this. Also a special shoutout to social media. Women may still be intimidated to drive or may still be frowned upon by the males.
