Taylor has had a longer career than Katy, so it makes more sense that she’d have more singles.

Also, why are we arguing about Taylor’s success and popularity outside of the U.S?  She started out as a country artist and I doubt that genre of music is popular outside of America, Canada, and Australia.  Meanwhile, Katy has been pop her whole career, so of course she’ll have earlier success worldwide.

But Taylor started in 2006, Katy in 2008. I doubt that Taylor released 19 singles off 'Taylor Swift'.
