This was televised because she didn't win AOTY. Pretty sure that's how it works.

tbh SOTY is more likely then pop for me i think  SOTY seenms to be mostly about the writing and ballads usually do well in SOTY and MR is the only big ballad this year. Next i would say praying but i don't think she will even be nomminated. I see bruno/ed snatching the pop award over gaga.

its not about success all the time. Yes. They usually pick most succesful ones but not always.

Poker Face didnt win when it was obvi best selling song in 2009 

and Bad Romance didnt even nominated.

This is working on the assumption that the Academy has taste and gives it to the most deserving song  After 50 years we should expect the non-deserving song to win TBH.

SOTY its not based on success  

is up to her and ED imo, and since SOY has 6 writers and its the type of song the academy hates, she has a shot

PF is miles better from the lyrics to production, gaga basically wrote the whole thing herself 

Single Ladies is definitely the weakest song to win SOTY, and will be overcrown by SOY if it wins
