Some of this news we already knew, some is new news: #1 There will be a protagonist. The first officer (2nd in comand will be main character) and things seen from her perspective while past star tren series had no specific main character despite the Captain being the most important #2 rather than each episode being its own story, the new series will be continuos. The last Star Trek series "Enterprise" from 2001 was also like this to an extent however #3 This one will be a prequel taking place 10 years before the time-line of the Original Kirk series. However the last Star Trek Enterprise that began airing in 2001 was also a prequel taking place even earlier than Discovery will #4 Will be the first Star Trek to display openly gay couple although "Star Trek Deep Space 9" from time to time flirted with lesbianism and indirect male homosexuality Each episode is expected to cost $6 Million to make Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
Economy 49,874 Posted September 23, 2017 Author Share Posted September 23, 2017 Star Trek Voyager in my opinion was the best in terms of best looking ship and nice sets... It had best individual episodes and being the Star Trek set most in the future, had coolest technology... However It had bad character development (and bad acting first 2 seasons) and show had many contridictions... Many problems at first developed were also unexplainably swept under the rug Star Trek Deep Space 9 and Star Trek Enterprise had the best acting, most realistic characters and the most consistancy and didnt contradict itself as much as voyager. They had many boring filler episodes that voyager did not however The Original series and The Next Generation with Picard were most original and fresh but being older you see it in graphics and production Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
