I have to disagree on that. Cardi's success has grown super fast. It's been since Meghan Trainor in 2014 that a new female has done something like this.

Agree with all of this. Added to that, Cardi B has the attention of Nickis demographic now. Everyone is replaceable and I think Nicki is experiencing her worst nightmare. Iggy came in but didn't have the respect of the rap community, but Cardi does. Not to put the two against each other, it's just how it works. Cardi is younger, in my opinion prettier, more likeable, more real. Some of these qualities are what people view Nicki to lack. Some believe she's has a bad attitude, is fake and very calculated.

Yeah, the only thing is, Cardi could well be being treated as a one hit wonder right now. Lots of surprising newcomers appear, have a hit and then disappear as quickly. They might be able to sell their debut single but their album is another story. Cardi may be put in that category currently. And no one knows about her worldwide, she's purely an American phenomenon. You're right, no one's seriously threatened Nicki before now - it was obvious Iggy was never going to last past her debut, so she had nothing to worry about there. And none of the other rap females are coming back anytime soon. Nicki started out at just the right time, when she had no competition, and she's taken the monopoly on the #1 rap female title because of that. But she can't keep riding this wave of convenience forever. The young people who automatically became interested in a song because her name was on it will now be thinking she's too old and they want a younger face who can represent them more. And yeah, her bad attitude is becoming more and more known by the day. I've always noticed it but its taken most people a long time to really catch up to it. A male may be able to survive a killer diss track against them but I don't know about a female. Once a woman has been "exposed" in the business, it can all be over for her.

She needs to stop hopping on everybodys single as a feature and put 100% of her time into her next album. Take a few months break to get her album just how she wants it, the overexposure is killing her.
