How is it possible to tour with an unpredictable chronic illness?

I read online that flare ups can last from a few days to a few months. Her disorder is very unpredictable and it doesn't seem like there is much that can be done to control or reduce the length and severity of flare ups. How does Gaga know she will be better in exactly 7 weeks?  What is going to happen in these next 7 weeks that is going to prevent this type of situation from happening again? How is it possible to have physical obligations with this type of disorder?

If Gaga doesn't get some type of treatment that works for her, I have a feeling this may be her last tour, or at least her last physically demanding tour. Is she even able to get touring insurance if she has this type of condition and keeps cancelling shows?

I just keep thinking that her doctor's think she has something in addition to fibromyalgia, like lupus. Im not trying to say that fibromyalgia isn't bad enough to cause her to be out of commission for this long, because it definitely is. Im thinking that maybe she needs that specific amount of time to go through some type of treatment cycle, like chemotherapy (which is a treatment for autoimmune disorders).

I know that Gaga loves performing more than anything, and she would probably be miserable if she couldn't do it anymore. So, I guess that's why she is touring despite how difficult it is for her.

I just have so many questions and I am really worried about her. I'm happy that she said she will explain what is happening to her in more detail when she feels better. Im not saying she owes us this information. I just feel so unsettled not knowing what's going on and what kind of a state she is in right now :(

This was such a ramble sorry :toofunny:

You're right, and her plan is to rest for a while and hope for the best for 2018 :lolly: hopefully the flare-ups reduce and she feels much better than her current state, she's been overworked for years :(

Yeah, honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if the whole tour is cancelled at this point. And I'm definitely concerned regarding future tours.

i guess they just gamble and hope for the best whilst having big safety nets

i think moving the entire leg was one of those safety nets, since she now has a LOT of time to recover and i'm sure she'll be back on her feet before the NA leg begins

Its so sad. Honestly I think in the beginning, she was nonstop and burned fast and BRIGHT and the damaging effects from those early year are still unfolding before her... its tragic. I mean remember this horrible video of her performing to near exhaustion?

I read its genetic... but it can also come from emotional and physical trauma. I fear she physically exhausted herself in those early years, obvious to the point where she broke her damn hip. And on top of it she faced all the emotional trauma from the ARTPOP era. It all is really clear that she has been sttruggling for some years now. I just am glad she is taking a break before she ever gets back to a point like this. Sadly tehre is no cure and many doctors will even deny it cause its not observable. But lets all pray she gets better and destresses. she needs a mfcuking break

Don't make me worry more than I already am. :ohno: I'm already concerned about her health. But yeah, cancelled tour is definitely a possibility.

I'm not a doctor, I doubt it is possible to tour with fibromyalgia because flareups are unpredictable and debilitating.  Perhaps standing like Adele and sitting at a piano like Elton would be possible.  Her vocals slay, so I think that kind of tour would work if she can even survive that.  Touring is difficult, even outside of the 2 hours on the stage.

I am in the process of producing a highlights video of the 2nd Philadelphia concert, and I can tell you that the concert was very high energy, and she danced so very much.  I think even an average healthy person would not be able to survive that level of activity.   I cry when I see how vibrant, and even fierce, she was on stage that night.  While editing each clip, I keep saying O...M...G.

I live outside the space time continuum.

This actually makes a lot of sense. If you compare her now to earlier in her career, she sings less demanding versions of her songs. For example, I am starting to think that her shortening songs probably has more to do with her being tired than length of a show. Also, in songs like Just Dance and Paparazzi, she sings them in less demanding ways. Watch her performance of both songs at The Fame Ball in Washington DC, she is going for a lot more high notes. (Although, this could just be because her style has changed over the years.)
