StrawberryBlond 14,881
Its been suggested for a while now that she secretly supports them because she was once pictured at a party with a guy who had a swaztika painted on his t-shirt. He claims someone else had painted it on but the fact she posed for a photo of him was suspect although I suppose turning away a fan who wants a photo with you is never a good look (Gaga was once pictured with 2 fans in blackface but she didn't look comfortable at all). I can see where they get their theories from. I've actually thought for the longest time that I bet Nazis encourage their many kids that they've "breeded" to listen to "good white girls" like her, with blonde hair and blue eyes who are super feminine and conservative, all the traits that they value. But remember, at the end of the day, it doesn't matter what people think you stand for, all that matters is what you actually stand for. Taylor can't help being white, blonde and blue-eyed, but these are unfortunately the characteristics that are praised in the Nazi community, meaning that she will be held up as a paradigm of virtue and everything to aspire to by their people, whether she wants this or not. White people are in no way responsible for wayward whites who go in a warped direction, so they shouldn't be made to feel guilty if they have inadvertently inspired something awful. As much as I dislike Taylor, I'm not here for anyone trying to demonise her for being white, as if it's a choice she made or something. 7 hours ago, Edonis said: Is this satire 7 hours ago, Morphine Prince said: This has to be satire because nnnnn It isn't. This has been churned out by certain members of the Nazi community for a while. I'd like to believe it's a hoax, but it's not. One of them posted on an alt-right site that she was the ultimate white beauty, "like Athena reborn" and that the ultimate plan one day, when the time is right, is for her to marry Trump's son and then the entire plot for white supremacy can be rolled out nationwide. They really are that crazy. And you can't make that level of craziness up. 6 hours ago, Sizzily said: I've seen this on 4chan Its because of that rumor that claims she frequents 4chan and because some leftist media outlets came for her for not bringing politics into her music. Its very obviously a joke. But its been posted all over the place, in many different forms, not just there. And she has been on the site, the evidence is overwhelming, you could put your entire life savings on it. This anonymous person submitted a line about a beach. The next day, Taylor posted the exact same line on her Twitter. The same user also posted a question asking what her new kitten's name should be, with the winning answer being Meredith. The next day, Taylor announced on Twitter that she had a new kitten called Meredith. It's not a conspiracy theory, it's truth.

Lady1Gaga2 272
I get this. She's blonde, white, blue-eyed and privileged in every aspect of her life. Not only this, but she is uber successful, and shuts up about any topics that actually matter. She's everything the alt-right loves.

The next day, Taylor announced on Twitter that she had a new kitten called Meredith. It's not a conspiracy theory, it's truth. Interestingly enough, there are other blonde, blue eyed white celebrity women that the Nazis don't like because their personalities and liberal attitudes are "betrayals" of their race. There's a very specific interest in Taylor because they see her as someone who is embracing her white, pure heritage. Kind of like how conservative black people are seen as Uncle Toms, liberal Aryan women are seen as traitors to their racial purity. It's ultimately the combination of social conservatism and white, blonde, blue eyed racial purity that provokes the worship of Nazis. She's also not exactly politically outspoken, which wouldn't mean much typically, but as she is a celebrity and has many liberal peers, her silence is equal to conservatism or at least the apologism of it in her industry. Celebrity liberalism is loud, unabashed and unashamed. They have no reason to fear losing work over liberal ideology that isn't threatening. Conservative celebrities remain quiet to keep work, or become loud and sometimes lose their careers. I do lean to the idea that Taylor is merely self centered and her silence and non-acknowledgement on most topics is a deliberate marketing technique to not alienate her from any group, and in turn maximize sales by remaining politically neutral. Oh, absolutely. Her silence has ensured that she keeps her fanbases from all directions. I genuinely think she's a Democrat convert and is anti-Trump, however. She tweeted support for the women's march. But that's as far as she's ever done. Her gay friend said we shouldn't be so presumptuous to assume that she's a Trump supporter as well. But yes, she's never gone all the way with political views. However, in my culture, well, up until now at least, we've believed in keeping your political views private, whatever they are, they're no one's business. So, I can see why she doesn't speak on it. But if I was being worshipped by the alt-right and held up as a goddess by Nazis, then I'd make a point of publicly denouncing them. Her silence on that front, despite it being reported by many outlets, is very strange. She's so vocal on so many issues, but conveniently quiet on others and I think she's smart enough to use this to her advantage. 2 minutes ago, Chic said: Interestingly enough, there are other blonde, blue eyed white celebrity women that the Nazis don't like because their personalities and liberal attitudes are "betrayals" of their race. Kind of like how conservative black people are seen as Uncle Toms, liberal Aryan women are seen as traitors to their racial purity. Exactly. It's not enough to have all the visual features of an Aryan woman, they have to have the ideal personality too. The alt-right values ultimate femininity in its women and teaches them to be conservative, stay-at-home mothers of multiple children. They wear labels like "tradwife" with pride. They are taught to be subservient to their men and let them lead in the battle for white supremacy while they do the behind the scenes work (namely, being active on social media and podcasts, at most). They teach LGBT-phobic views, labeling anyone who isn't completely cis and hetero as "sexual deviants." And they teach anti-feminist views, they laugh at the whole concept of feminism and believe that every woman who supports the cause is an ugly, masculine, angry woman whose aim is to pull women away from the home and family and make its people weak. Because of all this, it's very rare to find a celebrity woman who they truly admire. So, because of her outward support of feminism and (though minor) inclusion of black women, Taylor would normally be seen as a traitor to the cause. So, why is there still support for her? Does it all come down to her silence on political issues and real feminist issues? At this rate, I'm thinking her silence is doing her more harm than good.
