i dont see how cherry could be more out of place than summer bummer :laughga: and its kinda irrelevant to call any song on lfl out of place because it has no specific sound like her other albums. summer bummer sounds nothing like love sounds nothing like heroin sounds nothing like changes sounds nothing like cherry sounds nothing like get free sounds nothing like in my feelings sounds nothing like tomorrow never came etc

White Mustang perfectly flows into Summer Bummer imo (and 13 Beaches flows into White Mustang) Also I feel like I can split LFL into several parts: The dreamier part (Love->13 Beaches..Get Free and Heroin would've worked here)/the more old Lana and urban sounds (Cherry->Groupie Love or Coachella...I feel that In My Feelings and Coachella are their own undefined category)/the woke and laid back part (God Bless America->TNC+Heroin). This is pretty random and messed up, but I like to label the album like that :selena:

With Gaga, I'll take all the tracks I can get. Otherwise, ~13 tracks is good for me.

I agree that some songs on LFL were mediocre but Groupie Love and Cherry definitely do not fit that category :awkney: .

Tho which do then? My only other suggestion regarding LFL would be using the stripped back version of Coachella (like the snippet she sung in that IG vid after Coachella) instead of the current one and maybe changing the positions of a few albums. Other than that, it's a pretty amazing album.

12 and 13 :lolly: but I'm leaning towards 12 because of my OCD:selena:  also less filler or memorably weak tracks

It all depends on content, but if this artist is great then 11-12 is pretty good. I honestly would've cut Cherry and Groupie Love from LFL...16 tracks are great, but should be 14 when 2 are mediocre :selena:

Cherry fits perfectly next to 13 Beaches they are very compatible with each other:queenga:

It isn't mediocre, but it pales when compared to most of LFL imo

WELL the perfect album lenght doesn't exist for me. We should talk about the perfect album lenght for the different eras: for ARTPOP, the perfect album lenght for me would be like 100.

Before you come @ me: I still haven't got over the ARTPOP act II thing, so yeah, I'd have liked to receive every single one of the 100 tracks she wrote

I'd say 13 tracks is a solid album length. If you add target or bonus tracks you can have around 16. :)

I shouldn't have said "some songs" because I was only thinking of one and that's White Mustang. IMO, that's the weakest song on the album and it's honestly the only song in her entire discography that I have trouble getting into. Although, when I heard it live I still had to sing along because it isn't a bad song, just weaker compared to the rest of LFL.
