To be honest I watched half of that documentary and after them saying that eating one egg could reduce your life expectancy as much as smoking five cigarretes I stopped believing it.

All my grandparents were raised on a farm, therefor ate eggs almost daily and they all have an excellent health

Sounds like a reasonable estimate. 5 cigarettes isn't exactly going to kill you. It isn't even relevant what your grandparents ate on a farm since those are not the eggs people are eating these days. The eggs people are eating are from battery farms i.e. from abused and diseased animals. The chickens are not even the same type of chickens and their diet is not the same. I am not even trying to claim what the health is the best documentary I didn't post any link to anything about eggs. I posted the section showing the ADA and cancer research etc. are getting money from the food industries and are a total scam. Now you come along and start talking about eggs and think you are really smart making a throw the baby out with the bathwater fallacy around your belief that your grandparents were really healthy because of eggs. That is not evidence of anything perhaps they were healthy despite eating eggs. they were doing exersise getting sunshine, fresh air and eating fresh fruits and vegetables this does not provide any evidence at all for any health benefits of eating out of supermarkets or factory farmed eggs or that the eggs were necessary or healthy or that the chickens didn't suffer. It most certainly does not prove that these organisations are concerned with peoples health or disprove your naivety. We have to define what is really healthy and that is not what is going on in the world. If peoples grandparents were so healthy we have to ask why was there 2 world wars?

Research papers published on NutritionFacts.org? That's not a reputable journal, let alone website.

Reputable research journals:

Science

Nature

Cell

Journal of *fill in the blank*

Most importantly: Pretty much anything labeled peer reviewed. This is critical for scientific evaluation and discussion.

Which next to nothing on that site suggests.

Well I said I would get back to you. The thing is this sort of argument is draining. It is basically just claiming that your sources are the authority and that they can pick and choose who they are going to make peers and collaborate to determine what research they are going to consider acceptable. It doesn't even matter how much research there is it is just a way of claiming authority and dismissing anything that you disagree with out of hand. These people are deeply evil mass killers. That is why I find it so draining to deal with such arguments. It is cooked foods that are a deviant diet and so it is for you to prove that cooking does not cause health problems such as fibromyalgia. there is no other species that eats cooked food so clearly the normal diet is raw. If it was smoking you wouldn't be arguing that an advocate for non smoking should prove that fresh air cures disease and that their research needs to pass mustard with the tobacco lobby? the contention is not that raw cures anything it is that cooking causes problems and that seizing to cook or consume animal products removes that causation of disease allowing for a natural state of health to return. It is deeply sinister to be attempting to convince people they have an 'incurable disease'.

Besides feeling mentally and physically better as a result, I'm strongly considering switching to a raw vegan or vegetarian diet because of the money savings. I tried it a few weeks ago and only spent $20 in groceries for the week. Granted, I live alone and cook all of my meals from scratch, but I was previously spending significantly more money.

Fresh veggies are extremely cheap where I live.

Honestly the whole "eating clean cures xyz condition" is just the physical ailment version of "yoga cures depression". It might help, but people with said thing don't want to hear about how it cured you sons girlfriends uncles ex wifes son in law.

edit: I should clarify that this is coming from someone who is planning on switching their diet once they move out to include low amounts of meat, and only include ethically sourced meat (ie, not factory farmed-stuff from local butchers where the cow lived in a pasture and lived a well adjusted life for a cow). Other than that my diet would be mostly vegan (however, I cannot call myself a vegan because I do "unvegan" things such as ride horses, because apparently thats animal abuse)

If you need me, you know where to find me: seeking validation and self-love in my dumpster
