Fibromyalgia and Raw Foods

You're not going to recruit people for veganism or tell Gaga what to do.

It's not like Gaga doesn't have the ability to do so, but veganism/whole foods is not a cure all. People need to realize that. And some people do not have the money for vegetables or have farmer's market's nearby (o they have farmer's markets, but they're sketchy as ****/an hour away/don't sell anything you eat anyways).

Plus if you're going to try and turn people to this lifestyle, just plopping a video with some hippy chick in thumbnail isn't going to change peoples minds.

There is a lot of subsidies going towards certain unhealthy foods making them cheaper than fresh fruits and veg. People pay for it in their taxes and elsewhere like in health insurance and house prices. If you think its a good idea to choose foods because they have been made artificially cheap by predator corporations go for it.. Your money will certainly not contribute to improving the situation. If people just didn't buy this junk then soon the quality fruits and vegetables would become more affordable and available. Feeling good is worth the money. It is much worse to go into a false economy of buying cheap food which is encouraged in many ways for some reason. People who spend vast amounts of money on rent and cars and all sorts will economize on food which is really silly. Far better to just accept that you need to pay what it costs for your food and economize on the things you don't need at all. You can also plant a garden and then you can get food for free or even make money. There is also lots of wild herbs and 'weeds' that are edible and packed with much more nutrients than stuff in the store and these can be gotten for free.

Christine is a Registered Nurse, Certified Holistic Nutrition Practitioner, Certified Natural Health Practitioner not some hippy chick. This is not about veganism/whole foods but raw foods. Whole foods has been taken over by Amazon recently so that is a whole other can of worms. They actually sell gmo's and it remains to be seen what will transpire after this take over. What would you rather be called a hippie or a yuppie? Get real Whole Foods has a meat counter.

"Truth be told, Whole Foods has knowingly been selling GMO products for ages, hiding them under the “natural” label we’ve all recently come to scoff at. The world’s ethical supermarket, with prices built to bulge, has been duping its trusting customers. When it comes to meaningful labels, like GMO labels, Whole Foods has really been less than transparent or, more bluntly, has officially delayed the truth rather than demanding it now. Taking a closer look, it all seems to be a clever array of PR spins and stalling methods."

To assert that food is not a cure all is not exactly accurate. There has been thousands of years of agriculture. Foods and eating plans designed for feeding slaves, soldiers and factory workers. Cities built up on imperialism. A lot of damage has been caused and diseases have developed. There are many names for these but they are just names doesn't mean there is an actual thing called fibromyalgia. It is just a name given to a set of symptoms. It could be that food can't cure all straight away or perhaps not  but the pharma industry can't cure anything ever. Cure isn't even a word they use they engage in treatments and treatments don't have to have any beneficial effect at all. Even in those cases where there is efficacy they are actually using herbs like for example the 'drug' for malaria is extracted from Artemisia herb i.e. food from an old Chinese medicine book.

"The ACT that later became known as Coartem was the only invention we had that was still patentable."
http://www.who.int/bulletin/volumes/87/10/09-051009/en/

"Dried whole-plant Artemisia annua slows evolution of malaria drug resistance and overcomes resistance to artemisinin"
http://www.pnas.org/content/112/3/821.short

http://www.curemalaria.net/cure/

Anastasia says food can cure anything and I am inclined to trust her .

"Anastasia maintains that the fruit cultivated from the seed in this manner, and consumed by the individual who cultivated it, is capable not only of curing him of any diseases of the flesh whatsoever but also of significantly retarding the aging process, rescuing him from harmful habits, tremendously increasing his mental abilities and giving him a sense of inner peace.

The fruit of plants grown like this will be distinguished from other plants of the same species not only in taste. If analysed, it will be seen that they are also distinct in terms of the substances they contain."

Your the one recruiting people to carnism. You couldn't care less if Stefani is sick what matters is your evil cult and that is why no solutions are offered to anyone who is sick due to diet. Me I actually care and yes it would be good if Stefani was vegan obviously she could probably reach more people than me but I actually care about her I was almost in tears when I saw the press conference for the documentary. The health aspect is important but animal rights is also important like people don't really care about their health not unless it is really that bad and that is part of the effect of carnism it would appear. this is a dark cult and they are out to get people. if people don't care about themselves then maybe they will care about animals or other people or someone anyone at all. i know how it is I ate meat for most of my life. I remember a winter where I was sick for months thought it was coz of cigarettes and it probably was to some extent but the diet really was causing this even more and I thought I ate fairly healthy. Anyway I can talk about health but like I said people don't really care it is sometimes better to talk about animal cruelty then people might put the effort it to learn about how to eat healthy. Like it was this song that really got to me to quit all the meat and I only stopped the eggs a bit later once I realised that I didn't need the protein after having done research. this is correct although I  had already been mostly vegetarian for quite a while and gave up eating pig first after hearing them screaming when I was walking in the countryside. perhaps it is not much good since it is german but the second video has plenty on carnism.

Why wouldn't they be? Sure, some people's treatments are not successful, but I don't think that is on purpose.

In case it's explained on the video above, I'll watch it now

Can you name any other species that suffers with such vast amounts of disease? Wake up. Stop being so naive.  The united states spends the most and has the worst health in the world.

There is no peer-reviewed, scientific source or journal that even implies that a raw food food can cure a chronic disease. That's misinformation and faulty advertising at its best.

Yes.

That is NOT a peer reviewed, scientific journal.

It has links to research papers. Have you even read the thread or are you just busy trying to prop up pig farma?

Research papers published on NutritionFacts.org? That's not a reputable journal, let alone website.

Reputable research journals:

Science

Nature

Cell

Journal of *fill in the blank*

Most importantly: Pretty much anything labeled peer reviewed. This is critical for scientific evaluation and discussion.

Which next to nothing on that site suggests.

As Hypocrates once said "Let food be thy medicine" but he's also the grandfather of modern medicine so don't stop going to your doctor entirely just maybe adopt the mindset that prevention is better than cure.

Well I am a vegan so I'm probably biased but I do subscribe to the idea (which many plant based doctors advocate for) that a plant based diet is one which will decrease your risk factor for many health issues.

Not sure if it'd help much for Fibromyalgia but I don't think it would hurt as long as the diet was planned well with nutritionally dense vegan lasagnas and pasta dishes.

well you know I really don't need to bother with responding my only concern is with Stefani's health not whether you deem the information to be supported by pack of criminals. Maybe I will get back to you later.

What an Italian with a history of health problems in the family and you are recommending pasta?  How can that be nutrient dense when it is white flour? It contains gluten what if gluten is contributing to her condition? What if one of the ingredients mixed into such dishes is? What if the cooking process is to blame? These people will claim there is not peer reviewed research for raw diets but they haven't got any peer reviewed research for cooked diets themselves. No other species cooks food. It stands to reason if there is limited peer reviewed research into raw foods then there can't be for cooked foods since they would have to compare the cooked foods with raw and then that would provide the raw food research. Refusing to study an issue is not evidence for cooked foods and since cooking is a processing of foods it is for them to prove that this cooking process is safe and doesn't cause disease not to turn round and claim there is not peer reviewed research into raw foods when raw is the natural diet. Lots of people have been cured of disease with raw foods so for a advocate of raw foods to conduct research suggesting a group of people in their study should eat cooked foods would be unethical since they know it would harm the participants.

To be honest I watched half of that documentary and after them saying that eating one egg could reduce your life expectancy as much as smoking five cigarretes I stopped believing it.

All my grandparents were raised on a farm, therefor ate eggs almost daily and they all have an excellent health
