Bok 267 Posted September 11, 2017 Share Posted September 11, 2017 Just a little thing & please don't be mad at me; but I'm very disappointed in Little Monsters to see that '...Ready for it?' nonsense has like 30+ pages of comments while this topic only has 'a' page. I hope Poppy will get the recognition that she deserves in the following year with her album. Titanic said it's the best pop album since The Fame and from what we have heard this far, I absolutely can see that coming (I'm quite underwhelmed by some of the songs - like Let's Make a Video), 'Interweb' and 'My Style' is quite promising and we know they're planning a big promo for 'Beach Blonde Baby' so I have a feeling the unreleased stuff could be amazing. It's very exciting for a pop fan like me to see another act who's well informed about the genre and the power of it's genre, Poppy's music is as political as 'Born This Way' and I LOVE that she (& Titanic) is vocalizing their thoughts on generation and not just talking about their personal grudge about people. I'm just comparing her to Taylor because Poppy is also generated from a broken heart (Mars) but I think it's a great example how to take personal emotions and apply them to art. (Instead of writing almost-too-literal songs like 'We are never getting back together', 'you broke my heart', 'Look what you have done') Sorry for being a bitch, I just got sad. I WILL get angry at people if the album flops and they* don't release more music while other idiotic so called 'pop artists' create boring music. *Poppy & Titanic Sinclair P.S.: What an underwhelming album cover.
