Bon Appetit had a ton of potential, but it too was weak. The beat was good, and the song is sexy, but the vocals are almost anti-climactic. Migos was a mess, and they didn't really add anything to the song. Though, at times, it seemed like a migos song that Katy was featured on. Too weak. (The video took off, but only because of it being a mess.

 

Swish Swish was also very weak, little to no back track, so the vocals are really important, which makes performances extra special. (She's not great with live vocals, so it never worked out well) Not to mention, the video/teasers were super-try hard and come off really cringey. She was asking to be made fun of, and while it might be her shtick: to not take herself seriously. It doesn't help her at all. If she isn't taking it seriously, no one will take her seriously.

This is just a music/video stand point, but given enough time, I could dissect the entire project. I didn't touch of the "woke" aspect of everything, but it too was important when contrasted with her making fun of herself.

same goes with the kim kanye vs taylor drama

but i believe they had plans to pretend to reunite these year to boost sales but Taylor changed her mind and Katy went crazy

I had this idea that the article just threw all the million reasons  together, all the possible factors, they went so much into detail but they just failed to build a strong cause-effect model. We didn't get the bigger picture. 

Which in my opinion is fairly simple. 

First of all, the album was a departure from her Dr. Luke sound. She had a different sound, and whenever you go for a different sound, the reception might be negative. We may spend hours trying to undestand what exactly sonically was wrong with her singles, but it's always a matter of taste. So, firstly, the change of sound. 

Secondly, her message was targeted at a different audience. Her traditional audience was not mature enough to listen to talks about purposeful pop and politics, mental issues and many more things. She clearly wanted something like 16+ while she was more in this 13+ category. The transiton from 13+ to 16+ had not been prepared in advance. 

Thirdly, her promotion. The desperation to go viral, to be meme-friendly and to be so "internet". Few things turn the internet audience off as much as the easily seen-through tactics of scoring hit content. It is regarded as cick-bait.The magic of internet is that there is no single formula regarding how to go viral. Her youtube views are good, but they are now generated mostly by her very loyal and active fanbase. They don't help her get mass appeal and persuade people to buy tickets for her tour. And her strange promotional behaviour obviously earned her much dislike.

i only agree with the third one which i explained saying how she wants to be goof yet woke aka wants to keep the teens yet gain the adults .

and only a delusional would actually believe that Luke is not ghoswriting and ghostproducing Kzty's work . she even has credit of his company in the album  .
