It's opinion, though. I've always found her a very overrated lyricist, I don't know what the critics are going on about. And a cohesive album doesn't mean good, it has nothing to do with being good, it just means your whole album sounds the same. And when you think about it, isn't it more worthy of praise when an album is eclectic and every song sounds different as opposed to an album where every song sounds like it was replicated and cut from the same cloth?
