No, I mean if she is chosen she will be very well liked by the public.

That just shows how basic their taste is :whitney:

The Chainsmokers has only one album :rip:

and one EP. bruno mars had two albums when he did his SB and he had the amount of hits the chainsmokers have now. now im pretty sure the nfl wont pick the chainsmokers bc theyre a dj duo not performers, but i was just giving an example of people ggd would hate

It would make sense, and I'm sure the producers of the SBHTS would love it, but I'd also think it would be silly for her to do it this year.

4 didn't do extremely well for Beyonce. Her album before, I am... Sasha Fierce, contained hits like If I Were a Boy, Single Ladies, Halo, Sweet Dreams. 4 didn't have any 10 ten hits. The Halftime Show allowed her to remind everyone of her ability as a performer, reinforced her iconic status and now she is better than ever.

Gaga stumbled with ARTPOP and although C2C did wonders for her, and opened up new opportunities, it wasn't ever going to be a blockbuster. Joanne is great and a #1 album, as usual, but Perfect Illusion wasn't a chart topping hit and Million Reasons wasn't moving that fast up the charts. The opportunity to remind the country of her skills as a performer is what has lead to her stadium shows and led to another hit with Million Reasons.

Katy Perry just came from the Teenage Dream era with her billion #1's and she had scored a couple more with Roar and Dark Horse for Prism. She did the halftime show, came back after a break for Witness and her lead single didn't shoot up the charts like normal and her other singles haven't really managed to stick... She performed at her peak and now she doesn't really have that platform to bring her a second wind.

Taylor is doing very well now, but there are mountains and valleys in any career. When she hits one of those valleys, she will still have the past hits and the star power to be a headliner. I'd think it would be better for her to just hold off a little bit. No point in performing now, then the only way for her is down.

I would have Justin Timberlake instead. We had a female performer this year already (ha name is Lady Gaga) :bon:, next year should be a male.

I think a new rule should be instituted so that only female performers can do the Super Bowl :selena:

I’m a simple guy to please, if you like Melodrama, we chill.

I totally agree, great point.

Quite possible.

I can definitely see her playing up the innocent, teenage country pop singer turned edgy, mainstream pop star narrative as a metaphor for the Super Bowl.

Also, right-wing, white supremacists love her, so literally it makes sense for the NFL to do it ... :selena:

Gaga already turned the white supremacists gay.

I think she is sponsored by Coca Cola, so it isn't possible (or so I heard)

I like dancin', and ponies....

Hell no. If Janet Jackson is never gonna be on the Super Bowl again then he should not be in it again.

Justin is still a relevant contemporary artist. His last major hit was Can't Stop The Feeling which is still charting todays. He has proven himself to have longevity and the Superbowl attracts more than 100 million audience so if NFL wants him to be in it, he can.

Okay but we're Gagadaily, we should lobby for what pop stans want. Everyone else can lobby for their own interests.

Sneaky Oliver

I don't like her live performances that much but maybe she has improved for Reputation era so I'd be ready for it

i remember watching Katy's SB doc and they were worried about her dancing skills and posture but she did great so they could help TS too
