Esteban 2,300
Nuclear seems to be the only way for NK to converse with USA, this country must protect itself, there is US bases all around (Japan, SK, guam island) I'm not trying to defend NK but this is a country and like all countries, they have the right to be pride and to protect itself. All powerfull coutnries have made nuclear testing so it's hypocritical to point the finger only at NK. Plus, China have tried to calm the conflict between USA and NK about the construction of the US shield"THAAD"in SK , NK were ok to stop animosities but do you know who was'nt ok to stop the construction of the shield? USA... USA act like the cops of the world to protect their interests and we all suffer from their system, I'm not affraid of NK in my case...

It is wrong because nuclear proliferation has been banned internationally for decades, no country is allowed to produce any nuclear weapons and if they do they get sanctioned, this includes the USA, the finger is only being pointed at NK because they are the only country consistently breaking this law. It's wrong to say that this is the only way they can converse with the USA considering both Barack Obama and Donald Trump have held a hand out to start talks with them and they have been rejected all times they've attempted with the NK reacting hostily to any offer of conversation. The USA having bases near NK is essential in case they actually fire something. Why would they just sit and let it happen when they can take precautions to shoot something down? It would be huge carelessness to not have defence against a country actively promising destruction of you.

Yeah the US is there to protect its own interests as well as the interests and well being of south korea and japan. Maybe if china hadn't been propping up an oppressive dictatorial regime that enslaves its own people and threatens to nuke neighbours constantly this wouldn't be an issue. If it werent for the US there would be no south korea and the entire peninsula would have been united under the Kims in the 50s. Also it's not hypocritical to point the finger at north korea because nuclear weapon testing has been banned and will get you sanctioned. Hands up to the sky, I'm about to fly! I wasn't talking about now but in the past (Russia, USA, France...) it's just that NK have to make up the leeway. USA are not "the world" that's all, there is different point of vews and they dont accept that...they say they act to protect us but we havent ask for that! This is just for their interests to establish their imperialism. We are their prisoners since the end of WW2, they are not our saviors they are winners that's different. And in the facts, in all our history they still the only one to have used nuclear bomb..

There are plenty western countries that do not have nuclear weapons, they are protected through treaties such as NATO, countries do not need their own nuclear arsenal to protect themselves, they need to be diplomatic and join the rest of the world through diplomatic relationships so we all have mutual benefits of being nice to each other. NK has rejected this. I'm not talking the politics of past wars, or the politics of the US's government vs NK's, im talking on a very practical level that North Korea are developing nuclear bombs and promising to destruct the US, and the US are establishing themselves near the country to prevent this from happening, it doesn't get more basic than that. The only time the US are vocally provocative against NK are after missile tests that are designed specifically to be provocative, the US are not the aggressors here. USA have a strange way to make peace, either we follow them in their system or we are enemies... I can tell that France have lost his identity, his pride, his strength because of that "global pacific world" who make peace around money... Poverty and misery are two different things, we are not poor but we live a symbolic misery... And this is worst because it means the lost of faith! (i can't express myself as i want because of my weak level of english so sorry if i seems primitive, i am in a certain positive way..)

Democracy/Capitalism? Because as far as I know the only prerequiste to have a diplomatic relationship with the US is to be a democratic country, and that's not really an unreasonable thing to ask since its been time tested to be the most stable way of running a country that's least dangerous to neighbouring countries and their own populations. While no political system is perfect, capitalism certainly isnt, this is the one the world had settled on, not just the USA.
RAMROD 118,021
Lemme just say, the time Lil' Kimmy drop that bomb on us, even the harmless ones, it will be taken as threat and it will be the end of NK history. We will pull an Atlantis on 'em. There will be a big gap in the peninsula when you see the world map in the future.
