It seemed like a bit of a double meaning. I caught what you're pointing out, but on a lead single given the nature of the marketing material prior to LWYMMD's release, the song's sound, video, etc. it seemed like it served as a bit of a double entendre (though not the sexual kind lol). Context is important especially on something like a lead single. To that end, this new track sounds like the farthest thing from a reinvention or new direction sonically. Unless perhaps it isn't part of the album and is something on its own similar to Rise which would be an odd decision but make a little more sense, I suppose.
