1. TIHTY > WOTW is fact but Sam Smith himself didn't choose to win. Stop hating him he probably loved TIHTY too.

2. Saying he was the first gay man to win an Oscar was an ignorant act but his intention was to celebrate and be grateful to the gays. He didn't say it to brag, so let's forgive him.

There is no doubt he is a talented man. Let's support our fellow gay little monster. :rockstar: I hope this song smashes. I want an album full of Disclosure x Sam Smith style songs.

I enjoy his ballad and vocals. I hope this one can follow up his past hits.

This is where we'll find out if he was just a one album wonder or he's here to stay. I think being called the male Adele and making an album of heartbreak ballads really helped fill the void in Adele's absence but now that the world's got 25 at long last, will there still be the demand for him? I don't know, ballad artists don't really have much of a place in the charts right now, it's just dominated by urban, DJs and pop currently. But we are getting into the colder months, where we become more receptive to ballads, so who knows? His image has definitely been rocked a bit in the gay community after that "first gay man to win an Oscar" speech and that community was a major factor in his success up until then. But I've been so terrible at predicting chart positions and sales, so what do I know?
