Bradley 59,256
The only person I know who has pulled an all-stadium tour was Beyonce with the Formation World Tour, and I might second that the next person who's able to do that is none other than Lady Gaga. She has always been a strong touring force, but she's never been better. The Joanne World Tour is a world tour to promote her album Joanne, which is a success but not Born This Way or The Fame Monster level success, but she's selling out stadiums like 40,000 people can be mustered up at the tip of her finger. There are several artists out there who aren't even able to sell out arenas, this girl we stan is selling out stadiums. Not even Kendrick Lamar can relate (he has 36 shows for the Damn Tour and there's not a single stadium date, Humble, DNA and his album DAMN are slaying left and right and winning awards) artRAVE in New York City - Madison Square Garden (one night; 14,326/14,326) Joanne World Tour in New York City - Citi Field (TWO NIGHTS, capacity goes up to 40,000; 2 nights will be 80,000 attendance) artRAVE in Chicago - United Center (15,112/15,112) Joanne World Tour in Chicago - Wrigley Field (capacity goes up to 40,000) artRAVE in Boston - TD Garden (13,848/13,848) Joanne World Tour in Boston - Fenway Park (TWO NIGHTS, Capacity goes up to 37,000; around 70,000 attendance) Additionally, even comparing arena dates, her average gross per night is relatively higher than that of other touring forces. DeanWinchester 41,390
Now if only she'll add more dates and legs to other continents, it'll be much more obvious Flyin' like a 1000 Doves

NIghtmareElm 2,606
I feel she hasn't been this professional and powerful since TMB. Backtrack hasn't been used nearly as much. Since she doesn't dance as much, her vocals are way better and she is able to sing more.

gagarox 1,495
the tour is very well prepared and thought out this time around.. the setlist is carefully constructed and prepared to the T. This happens when u dont have a messy team (which was the case with ARTPOP). With a pop album she will be topping taylor/beyonce next era with her tour. If she is touring in January, she will very little time for rehearsals. Red carpet looks and everything need time for preparation.

bumblebee 2,528
Gaga is undeniably a touring force, and a stronger one, yes, but she is still far from an all-stadium tour. In the USA, with Joanne World Tour, there seems to be just one city where she could have played a stadium, but chose three arenas instead - Los Angles. So her stadium streak in the States is Frisco, L.A., Chicago, New York (2) and Boston (2). She can sell stadiums in the biggest blue states, but I doubt she will sell a stadium in Houston or Miami or Detroit or Minneapolis. She needs either groundbreaking chart success or another few years to cement her iconic image in the public eye. In UK and EU, where Joanne didn't resonate as well as in the USA and where Super Bowl is not that big of a deal, stadiums are a bet. People say that she will easily sell stadiums in Asia with Joanne, but I don't think Joanne marketing campaign created enough stir anywhere in Asia to ensure stadium sellouts. I am not even touching the issue of Australia, where, apart from The Cure, she was mainly absent from the top ten charts for the past six years. There are two ways to ensure tour success: you either make the audience aware of your new material which is amazing and absolutely worth seeing live OR you try strengthening your legacy brand, the idea that you are an accomplished performer who is a must-see act no matter what material you perform. With Super Bowl promotion, Gaga clearly chose the second option, and it proved wonders in the USA, but wherever Super Bowl is not very relevant, the fruits of that performance are modest. Thanks for the additional information, but I never said Gaga could play a stadium-tour during the Joanne cycle, I said she could do that some time in the future, which gives rise to the possibility of creating time for further success. Gaga is one of the most adored and cherished international acts in Asia, she's seen as this female Michael Jackson and the reaction to seeing her live is not resonated in the US and Europe. But yes, the next album needs to be promoted in both Asia and Australia if she wants to sell out stadiums there, I'm not saying it's an easy job, it's very exhausting for sure, but if she has the energy and determination to serve Born This Way level promotion again, then she stands a chance. Born This Way Ball sold out multiple stadium dates (up to 4 or 5 in one country) in Asia, she should really try that.

I think this is what will probably determine how fast she will become an all-stadium act. Maybe not necessarily her next record strategy, but generally her approach towards album cycles and marketing. She is still too young to be considered an accomplished touring legend, she is very contemporary. They may call her a legacy artist all they want, but how many other acts can achieve 500k pure album sales and 1M pure single sales these days? I mean to say that her new material can shape her touring image more than her legacy can. I think that if with her next record, outside the USA we are served the smart Born This Way-esque promotion realness then she will have a tour that may outgross rock legends.
