She literally spent 7 HOURS announcing the documentary with dramatic teasers. It's obvious she's nervous about the documentary.

If that's true then that's good, and maybe she shouldn't watch it at all even when it is out. There's something awful about going back to past hurtful events - that can drag you down even in the present.

I disagree, many people in the entertainement industry practice this. Some actors don't like watching their performances back only because they will see the flaws (Oh i couldve done this better, why did i do this and not that) Even if lg was 'forced' which i highly doubt she would be at this stage in her career. She wouldn't say anything to hint at that.

She cares enough to know that if she has control over the documentary, people will see through it as a carefully curated piece that really doesn't tell us anything real or authentic about her (just like justin bieber's documentary). It's a REAL documentary, not a popstar documentary a la "Part of Me".

people are reading in to it too much

gaga knew that if she watched it, her insecurities etc would take over and she'd want to edit it - she probably wanted it to remain as authentic and raw as possible

Exactly. This is more of a "I want to show you my darkest sickest parts because I love you that much" type of deal. It takes MAJOR balls to make a documentary like that and I'm so proud of her
