On the contrary, I think she cares very much about it. She just hasn't been as involved for exactly the reason she said (not able to be objective) and I think it makes it all the more meaningful. Because she trusts her friends.

I agree, something about the whole promo of it feels off - the thing is, I love Gaga - I hate promo 'Album of the Decade' Gaga... but this is next level - she's not even excited? How tell-all is it? What events are covered... I mean there is meant to be a Superbowl Doco, a la Katy's... so has this replaced? the HBO hype - has that been cancelled or re-cut? I am just surprised that we're in a time of her career where she is so, meh about what she puts out? 'The Cure' anyone...

She wants to documentary to be honest. Thats why she isn't involved with the editing or anything. It will be like a fly on the wall type of experience. I think she didn't watch it because she is afraid she wont like what she sees (meaning she wont be presented in the best light/it will be very revealing, ect) and she will be tempted to cut pieces out.

It takes guts to release a documentary that, well, documents, some of your most personal moments in your life, and not see it. She could have easily—even though I find it unlikely—said, "Let's cut this out, I don't think people would like it," or "Maybe we should change this a bit," etc. etc.

To be perfectly honest, I'm scared to see it. I think this documentary is more of a "I want you to see the darkest sickest parts of me because I love you that much" kind of thing for her. That clip of her on the phone with Brandon just breaks my heart because you can just hear the panic in her voice. Her biggest fear is her monsters leaving her and to be perfectly honest if they ever did leave her, it would be so devestating that I don't think she would ever recover from it.

It makes sense though. The documentary wouldn't seem as raw and credible if she had a lot of input while it was being made. 

Clearly this is meant to be a real documentary, and therefore free of bias from the subject. It just makes it seem more legitimate if she says that she didn't have much involvement in it. 

Imagine if she was going around saying that she help create and edit the thing. Critics would be all over her saying that she skewed the events that occur to sway public opinion on her.

That is what first came to my mind as well, but I will give her the benefit of the doubt and project that this thought is wrong. I am still excited to watch this. It sort of makes me nervous now what with that Madonna comment snippet being used to promote this and I am so hoping for not having any new drama perp up between those two again. Fingers crossed.

Gaga's documentary is not JUST about the Super Bowl, and I'm sure it won't focus on the technicalities.
