idk why y'all are saying "gaga watch and learn"

why do you expect a video like this for MR? It just doesn't fit the theme. She can do an amazing video if she wants.

OT: The video is petty (like the song :air:) but it's amazing. I love the ending part

I like dancin', and ponies....

Loved it! It was ****ing genius. It's like Taylor has picked up from where Gaga left off after GUY and Taylor has filled the void. Don't get me wrong I do love Joanne but Gaga took a back seat with the theatricality this era and Taylor has quenched that thirst for me. I usually hate petty drama but she does it so well. It's not the best song but it didn't need to be. The video is so awesome.

I can't wait for Gaga to come back next era after Joanne and make Taylor and LWYMMD look basic in comparison. :firega:

Honestly...yeah, it's good, but the video drinks from many past pop videos (thriller, paparazzi, can't be tamed, her own bad blood...)

And Formation, Plus some other songs are def referenced but I probably can't name them. She might have done this on purpose but maybe it's just coincidence

People acting like her referencing & killing her "old selves" is a revolutionary new idea is making me cringe :laughga:

Britney toyed with the idea of the "death" of her old self in 2004 and 2007 and then finally executed it in 2011 in Hold it Against Me.

Beyonce referenced her past iconic looks in her 2013 super bowl ad.

Gaga did it at the 2013 VMAs, and admitted she had originally planned to have lookalikes in her iconic outfits walk the red carpet. Plus how many times has Gaga referenced death and rebirth in her work? The GUY video is literally about death and rebirth, MTN is metaphorically about rebirth.. she shoots her self in John Wayne, she shoots her reflection in the FAME fragrance ad. She's "reborn" in a sense in Paparazzi.

Katy's teasers for Roar were literally about the death of the Teenage Dream character.

Miley was wearing RIP Hannah Montana shirts in 2013.

Taylor executed the idea in a cool way but the idea is literally anything but original :emma: I just had to say this

I said what I said and there is no need for you to be @Triggered:) IMO this video alone had better production, idea, costumes.. than almost every Gaga video.

Ok. I love this Taylor video, but if you think that it even compares to Bad Romance, Alejandro, or Paparazzi then you are being delusional. And I love this video.

This video has fillled a void for a lot of us people that love a story/visuals/choreography that hasn't been delivered since "Formation". Taylor delivered what Gaga and Beyoncé deliver so well, and we needed it this year. Great video.

Nobody is saying it's revolutionary. She just did it better.

Okay, so she was referencing Formation. Kind of cool.

I missed having big theatrical pop videos. Gaga used to do them. Lana used to do them. Never thought I'd have to stan Taylor but she's the only pop girl left who actually seems interested in playing the game (and who actually wins). Please bring #TheMatriarchy back, Taylor.
