what's with the Bond theme anticipation in recent years?

what they're trying to do with the franchise is what Nolan did with Batman but the Oscar baiting doesn't seem to pay off film-wise. Bond only works when it's a campy mess because the story doesn't focus on the thrills but on the mythology of the protagonist and the cartoonish way in which he perceives his encounters as he's blitzing around. this new approach only makes the character seem more ****ed up and boring and more and more people are disappointed with each chapter so why are we suddenly obsessed with the next Bond theme? because Adele and Sam won? you realize that that's because they're famous and the Academy won't mind some pop fans tuning in, right? you realize that Sam won because most people had not heard "Til It Happens to You" before Oscars night, right?

there's also Madonna who wasn't even nominated for her Bond theme even when it was more popular and memorable than both the first gay man and the first woman that can sing. wonder why? well, it's just that Madonna is raw af and people in the Academy would like to think of themselves as this community of intricate craftsmen of the coming race, carefully curating the vision that life will imitate in the future. a sad lifeless vision of grandiose monotone and apathetic color schemes.

so... what if Beyoncé does this and wins? lol another dull ballad with phony ballad vocals and yet another dry moment of victory for the Carters?
