Do you think Gaga's gonna be more personal again when the doc's released?

she fears being alone and the quiet though...

I think her out in public doesn't give her a chance to have personal or real connections, which she's talked about before. I think her loneliness and her being alone at the end of the day causes her distress because she doesn't feel like people are concerned with her personally or her mental wellbeing. I think fame would be very confusing on the mind, you're around so many people all day long, but that doesn't necessarily take away the loneliness felt, it could be even more isolating (if that makes any sense?). That was just kind of my takeaway from the teaser, I'm sure the documentary will over a lot more clarity.

It seemed when Gaga was in the thick of interacting and being with us on a level playing field (on the internet), she wasn't really open about her personal life. It seemed like when ARTPOP came out she let us see more of her personal life in her music (her boyfriend, her normal life, her home etc.), but less interaction with monsters.

Gaga definitely seems more happy and healthy, and has found a middle ground with superstardom recently, which is so exciting! I like this new Gaga, she seems like she is making breakthroughs and maturing as a person and an artist.

Not to simplify it, but I think it's just one of the side effects of Gaga moving to LA. During TFM/BTW/Lüc, she was on this hella real kick that felt so intimate with fans. Since she's moved to LA and bought the house and really set her roots there

Sorry.

But anyway, I think since she's been in LA she definitely did get caught up in it all. We know from her music she always did idolize this life, even if she didn't fit right into it—but I think she started to become an actress, dated a hunky actor, bought a house in Malibu, gained critical and commercial success...and she stepped back from trying to be that NY girl in the trenches with her fans.

I don't really mind it—I moved from NY to LA myself, so I can see it in a lot of ways, but it's definitely different. Truth be told, I hope Gaga has another NY era and I think she will, but I think she's floating in a bubble a little bit right now, and dating a Hollywood agent. It works and it's keeping her sustained, so.

FWIW: She does seem really genuinely happy on tour, you can tell she loves being surrounded by her family, tour fam, and fans again, and that's been exciting for me to watch as a fan.

Used to be on here as broadwaybobby in TFM era

She'll always be "mama monster" who will always be there for her monsters but sometimes she just needs a breather. We will always be a massive part of her. For so many years, like any good "mama", she made us the center of her world. As much as she loves us, it's emotionally draining to always put others first at the expense of your own well-being. She just needs to distance herself a little bit in order to mentally recover if that makes sense. Doesn't mean she doesn't love us anymore. Doesn't mean she doesn't want to be around us. She just has to put her own well-being first because she can't be there for us if she herself is struggling

I love you monsters. I'd be unfixably broken without you

It has to be incredibly hard to love someone so much (us) and yet not be able to connect with them in a real way because they're constantly screaming/shoving phones in your face. She loves us so much that she wants to really get to know us but she can't and to me that's the saddest part of all

I think Gaga will soon open up to us more. She feels her purpose is to inspire and empower her fans...while also developing genuine, deep connections with them. Being candid and personal with us is one way to do this. I think Joanne era is going to determine (if it hasn't already) the fans who matter to her and who don't....the ones who genuinely care about the person she is and the message she carries vs. the ones who are just riding her coattails to get a dose of the fame life.

I absolutely ADORE this woman...not just as an artist but as a person as well. It's awesome to finally find a place that feels the same way I do. She won't turn her back on us. We support her and she us. This is why I'm so HYPED for this to come out.

But for now she's healing from some very deep wounds but that doesn't mean she doesn't care. We all need to give her the space to grow strong again. That's what this is all about, is it not? Growing stronger together!

Well said. I wish some of those people actually took the time to ask her how her day was going, ask her about her family and friends, show support for her as a human being, etc. Just some real talk, you know?

Exactly. As much as she loves us sometimes she just wants to say "I had a sh*tty day because this happened" and yet she can't because no one asks her. People have to realize that what we have with her is a partnership so to speak. There has to be an equal level of give and take.
