This clinic isn't Epione :saladga:

This treatment seems to be one used for chronic pain, often used by athletes who over-exert and injure themselves, e.g. tearing a rotator cuff. They draw blood, spin it to extract the platelets, then inject them back into the injured muscle/ligament/joint/tendon.

The nurse is talking about getting Gaga out of the negative headspace that she was in, where the nurse could see the pain in her face, and mentions a Dr Madera who is helping her with the psych side of things (obviously some kind of therapist).

Because this is in relation to her Superbowl performance, this segment is probably to highlight the extremes she undergoes to achieve such an intense performance. The side of things that people don't usually see. The toll that her lifestyle and dedication to performing takes on her body and mind.

Oh hey I think you're right, it's a chronic pain treatment using her own blood platelets.

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

I've heard that floated around but dk the source   I know Gaga has gotten lip injections for other reasons though, I remember her saying she didn't think it was a big deal she got lip injections because they were not permanent so it was like changing her hair colour.

She also has said though that during that period she was doing all that because she was getting super high and she was getting super high because she was in so much pain - so who knows what the whole story is.

I'd assume not many celebrities have trigeminal neuralgia, so I wouldn't be that surprised that you haven't heard of any celebrities getting treatment. All I know is that she suffers from chronic pain, in this clip they are talking about chronic pain in her face, the doctor is preparing to inject her with something, botox is a treatment for that and I'm unaware of anything else they would be injecting in her face to help with chronic pain....

I wouldn't be surprised if part of her whole Epione treatment is to do with pain management with botox. That's all I can speculate from what we know.

She actually said it herself during one of Howard Stern interviews. :laughga:

Oh cool, like I said though - she has clearly had procedures for cosmetic reasons, she has said so herself even separate from that interview.

Pain "in your face" is not literal. When something's "in your face" it means it's very aggressive or hard to ignore. It's a figure of speech.

This is akmost certainly about the chronic pain from her hip....

Isn't 13 a little young for magic mushrooms?

OT: Well, that is pretty unfortunate. I want to watch this documentary but on the other hand, not sure if I'm ready for the sad parts.
