Obviously the emotions and pain she goes through in the film are real and tragic, but let's not pretend she doesn't completely control what we see and every superstar suffers on their own. I think whereas Beyonce has dominated the ethereal, always perfect pop-star, Gaga knows that spot is taken and is looking to make herself very human and vulernable in the eyes of the public, someone who creates art through their pain and achieves what she does DESPITE everything she goes through. This documentary, if edited right, could be astonishing. Contrasting the depths of her inner thoughts, her depression and feelings of isolation with her Superbowl performance; flying through the air, singing of love and freedom.
