But a bit of possibility thinking is necessairy too. Even in since if u do not make some assumptions and beliefs u do not have full evidence for... u dont search for it to begin with

 

science developement would be so slow with evidence alone if faith, hypothesis and passion were left out of it

I feel like many subcontiously dont want to consider that possibility because they associate that idea with old uneducated religious people. As a result ppl will consider all kinds of possibilities in science no matter how out there it is, everything can be considered to how the Universe began... but the moment you consider the "God" possibility suddently its stupid and ignorant. Thats the 1 thing you cannot consider or your ignorant on the eyes of some people

 

I think with all the complexity of the Universe (just the small fraction we know)... a higher contiousness must be at play...

I don't think there's a god or a higher power simply because I don't see the need for one  I akin that idea to older thinking like...before people know the Earth went around the sun, they thought a chariot pulled the sun across the sky. They used to think the dead would be taken down a river to the underworld. Some still think the universe was created by a god. These days, we know a lot about the universe and its past but we're still unsure about its absolute beginnings. We know the big bang happened because the evidence for it is everywhere but all the evidence pre-time, pre-ultimate forces, and pre-big bang is just inaccessible.

Imo, "god" stems from two things: us trying to answer a question that we're not prepared to ask yet and us yearning for a parental power, a source of meaning and purpose, in a chaotic universe where the harsh reality is that we're just insignificant little bags of organics held together with carbon and water that've evolved on a pretty blue planet around a not-so-spectacular star. We've gained sentience and the ability to look out and wonder about it all. I just think it's a shame to shrug that off and say "god did it" and then be done with it because that diminishes how incredible reality is  All this chaos, no order, no guiding hand, and yet we managed to crawl out of the mud and dream. It's amazing 

On a related note, I've heard people say things like "if there wasn't a god then how is the Earth in the exact right place? How is the moon there? How are conditions so perfect for life if no one made them like that?" and I think that's a bit of backwards rationality. Those things aren't there for the purpose of life to arise on Earth. Life arose on Earth because those conditions existed.

My point is the God belief doesnt necessairily have to be ignorant from ppl not expanding their mind...

 

just because its an old belief does not necessairily therefore it can not be considered as a possibility like other ideas can. Thats not a good reason to label that belief as ignorant

Just sharing my opinion  At some point, the study of reality will clash with a belief in a higher power. Or at least I would think so. I'm not sure what the extent of your belief in a god is

Well yeah... and u cannot exhibit traits from all. Ull carry genes that u do not have enough of to show physical traits but they are still in you

 

my background is portuguese... Average portuguese person is kind of white but with a tiny bit of colour, brown eyes, and brown hair. Basically if a scandinavian had a baby with an Arab he might look portuguese lol

 

But theres a lot of ramdom people in portugal with blue eyes and blonf hair that neither side of the family has those traits for many generations

 

this is because a small amount of North Europeans mixed in population... most will carry some of the genes but never show traits

 

but suddenly 2 parents carying recessive genes give blue eyes or blond hair to a kid

 

Most Portuguese people with blue  eyes and/or blond hair actually dont have parents or grandparents with it... its a trait thats carried but only manefests in ramdom ppl cause its a small fraction of the genetic pool 👀
