Telephone is about the fear of suffocation wyd :grr: Lol but in all seriousness the lyrics of Telephone have very little depth and pop songs don't always need to have lyrical depth to be effective. However, as basic as Telephone is, there is no cheese to it what so ever. It's not corny. P!nk, to me, is exactly the same cheese as Last Friday Night by Katy Perry. The only difference is she would you beat you up and Katy wouldn't

Though, she does have a lot of amazing songs with lyrical depth, like Who Knew (a classic), Try, and Dear Mr. President to name a few

Her new song is great melodically and her singing is exceptional, but lyrically she didn't even try which agitates me because it could've been fantastic if she did

BTW has a deep meaning. MTN has a deep meaning. Telephone is a party song presented in an artistic way. I'm very off-topic at this point but my point was that every pop star has made party songs. No one is quoting 'Try' or 'Dear Mr. President'

I think we've come to the same realization.

but that's what i mean about P!nk, her past music, including Try has been amazing and deep but this song is trying to come off as something deep but it really isnt and is rather basic :spin:

Hopeless

Her and Eminem have worked together so much over the span of their careers.

Why is it just now an issue? They always sound great together

I wouldn't say basic. It's just like CTTR... meant to give a strong message but turning up rather weak.

Nah, CTTR is supposed to be a bop with a subtle deeper message (though it's very limited and extremely lame in some parts). What About Us isn't supposed to be a bop, it's supposed to be a deep empowerment anthem and doesn't try to hide that, which is one of the reason why it disappointed me. Songs made to appear deep shouldn't be so uninspired

No matter how simple the lyrics are I love all of those songs :firega: Tbh I'm the type of guy that pays more attention to the production anyway

I wouldn't go as far as calling him homophobic, he's just an asshole.

They say it's the last song. They don't know us, you see. It's only the last song if we let it be.

Eminem isn’t homophobic he just likes to use derogatroy terms:emma:  idk if that help s. Also he performed with Elton John

That is similar to "I'm not racist, I have black friends".

In my messy era.

REALITY

I'm sorry but you're being melodramatic.

"I've lost all respect for P!nk???"

Fine, then lose all respect for Gaga for collaborating with R. Kelly and lose all respect for every other artist Eminem's collaborated with—I mean, he's done so with Elton ****ing John.

I'm sorry, but just it just seems like you're being way too dramatic and arrogant about the situation.

Who currs? I'm more mad that her new song is basic as hell. Great vocals, but lyrically ****. When the bridge said "Sticks and stones may break my bones" I had to turn it off :toofunny:

For some reason I doubt that Eminem would have a problem with me or any of us being gay. He's decently intelligent and actually quite peaceful and friendly in person. His lyrics are supposed to be raging, crude, and aggressive. That is his brand as a rapper

I doubt that nazis were nazis, they were just supposed to kill Jews and everyone else.

And Gaga did a song about rape after singing with R Kelly.
